What counts as an API request?

Accepted Answer

Any call to the Newsfork REST API — search, article fetch, feed query, semantic query, or MCP tool invocation — counts as one request. Webhook deliveries do not count.

Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?

Yes. Plan changes take effect immediately and are prorated to the current billing period.

We notify you at 80% and 100% of your quota. Requests beyond the limit return a 429 response. You can purchase add-on packs or upgrade your plan.

Do MCP tool calls count toward my quota?

Yes. Each MCP tool invocation (search, article fetch, trending, etc.) counts as one API request, the same as REST endpoints.

Are webhooks billed separately?

No. Webhook deliveries are included with Pro and Enterprise plans and do not count toward your monthly request quota.
